Mission Statement of Worship
Corporate worship is at the core of our life together. It is the foremost aspect of who we are and what we do. When corporate worship occurs at Birchwood Church, our goals are to please God with our praise and to bring spiritual reality into the lives of all who participate.
Philosophy of Worship
Worship is our response to what God is doing in and with us. Although individual believers bring to worship differing style preferences, worship is not about style; it is response. It is our desire and commitment to plan worship that will:
- Seek to glorify and please God and be Christ-centered. We will always attempt to draw people into the presence of God.
- be committed to excellence in all we do.
- create a worship environment to which we will want to bring our unchurched friends, where they will be introduced to the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- be thoroughly Biblical in all we do. We will be bold, innovative, sensitive, reverent, relaxed, joyful and open to new ideas in all forms of worship.
- encourage and enable everyone to participate.
